Breathtaking Friesians is a family business that was started by Jackie Basagoitia and her husband Robert in Minden, Nevada. It started with Jackie’s lifetime love for horses. What started as a miniature horse and a paint for riding grew into a small breed of Appaloosas and finally her dream horse the Friesian. Jackie purchased Minios, a 2nd Premie mare and then Apollo a Ster stallion that she had imported from Holland. So even though our main focus is Friesians we also have a beautiful Appaloosa stallion.

Jackie and Robert have attended the Equine Artificial Insemination and Breeding short course as well as the Ultrasound course. This will be ideal to be able to provide the most efficient stud services to you. We work with all of our horses daily to ensure a good disposition. Jackie currently trains in ground work with all her horses and also Dressage with her Friesians. All of our horses are such well mannered that Jackie’s three year old daughter approaches each horse without a single worry they are all great with kids.
